GETTING STARTED & ABOUT THERAPY
How do I get started with therapy?
Getting started is simple. You can schedule a free 15 minute consultation or an initial session through the information provided below. Once scheduled, you’ll receive intake forms to complete before our first appointment. From there, we’ll begin building a plan that feels supportive and aligned with your goals.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin building a foundation of trust. You don’t need to have everything figured out—just come as you are.
What makes your practice different?
This practice is rooted in culturally grounded, trauma-informed care that recognizes the strength and resilience within each person. My approach centers your story, your voice, and your healing.
LOGISTICS, SCHEDULING, & POLICIES
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
All services are provided virtually through a secure telehealth platform for clients located in Utah. This allows for flexibility and access to care from the comfort of your own space.
How long are sessions?
Standard therapy sessions are 50–55 minutes.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Over time, we can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We are currently paneled with:
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Carelon Behavioral Health
- Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania
- Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey
- Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah
- Select Health- Utah
- Select Health Utah Mediare Advantage
We are actively working on getting paneled with other insurances.
Do you offer private pay or sliding scale options?
Yes. We welcome both private pay clients and clients using insurance (for plans we currently accept). For those paying out of pocket, our fees are:
- Initial Therapy Session: $180
- Ongoing Individual Therapy Sessions: $150
A limited number of reduced-fee (sliding scale) appointments are available for individuals experiencing financial hardship. Sliding scale availability is limited and determined on a case-by-case basis.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards.
IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS
What is an immigration evaluation?
An immigration evaluation is a comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessment used to support certain immigration cases.
What types of cases do you work with?
I provide evaluations for U-Visa, VAWA, asylum, and other humanitarian-based cases.
How long does the process take?
Most evaluations are completed within a few weeks, depending on scheduling and documentation needs.
What is the cost of an immigration evaluation?
Immigration evaluation fees typically range from $1,000 to $1,500, depending on the type of evaluation and the complexity of the case. Please contact us for a consultation and individualized quote.
Do I have to pay the full fee upfront?
No. To make the process more manageable, payment is split into two installments:
- 50% of the total evaluation fee is due at your initial evaluation session.
- The remaining 50% is due before your final feedback session and the release of the completed evaluation report.
The final report will be provided once the balance has been paid in full.
